Steel,
standing.

  1. 01 Detail

    Every member, marked.

    Shop drawings give each column, beam and brace a piece mark, a cut length and a hole pattern before steel is cut.

  2. 02 Fabricate

    Cut, drilled, welded.

    Sections are cut and drilled, cleats and baseplates are welded to qualified procedures, and every piece is checked against its drawing.

  3. 03 Coat

    Protected before it leaves.

    Members are cleaned and coated to the specified system so they arrive on site ready to erect.

  4. 04 Erect

    Lifted into place.

    Columns are stood on their foundations and beams are rigged and lifted in, under a lift plan and a competent rigging team.

  5. 05 Bolt & align

    Plumb, level, tight.

    Connections are bolted up and tightened, and the frame is checked for plumb and level before it is released.

  6. 06 Hand over

    Documented to the last bolt.

    Mill Test Certificates, ITPs and the QCP data book travel with the steel, from workshop to handover.
